Lankenau Ventures collaborated with Tanara Boursiquot, a registered nurse at Main Line Health to develop our innovative catheter placement device. The AccuCatheter offers a clear view of both the urethra and vagina, facilitating accurate catheter placement. With the labia securely retracted, nurses can use both hands to manipulate the catheter, ensuring safe and precise insertion.

The AccuCatheter is ideally suited for use in both clinical and home care settings. It provides a versatile solution for nurses facing challenges related to patient mobility, anatomical variations, and sterile procedure compliance.

FORM

The AccuCatheter is designed to be pliable, yet sturdy. It will accommodate variations in labial size and texture, ensuring a secure fit and optimal visualization. The device is simple to use, made of medical-grade materials, and will remain in place during catheterization.

MEET OUR INVENTOR

TANARA BOURSIQUOT, RN

Tanara Boursiquot, RN, is the inventor of the AccuCatheter. The idea for the product came to her because she and her colleagues would struggle during catheterization procedures, especially on female patients, to accurately visualize the urethra for proper catheter placement.

The AccuCather enables more efficient, sterile, and precise urinary catheterization.

Our device offers a clear view of both the urethra and vagina, facilitating accurate catheter placement. With the labia securely retracted and held in place, nurses can use both hands to manipulate the catheter, ensuring precise insertion.
